Text bar - Antetype 1.3

The editing bars that have been added to Antetype in version 1.3 have been designed with two goals: 

  1. Provide designers with a quick method of browsing the properties of selected elements 
  2. Provide a quick method to edit common properties without the Style Inspector.

Entering Text

The Text bar is only displayed for cells that have text associated with them. Text can be entered in any cell in four ways:

  • If you create a text cell from the toolbar, you can start typing right away

  • Select the element and press ⌘+⏎, which starts text editing mode
  • Double click the element to enter text editing mode
  • Using the Style Inspector, find the Text input area in the Text section and enter some text

At-a-glance information

The Text bar provides a designer with all the information about the text properties of a selected element. From the example above the following information can be seen:

Rich Text

When rich text is selected the information in the text bar is reduced. The styling is then done via the OS X text and color panel.
